Stolen Equipment
J.J. Howard  Engineers & Land Surveyors report the theft the night of February 26 from a locked vehicle of the following items :
Pacific Crest radio valued at $3500
Data cables valued at apporxinately $500
Tripod
Topcon GPS charger
2 Motorola SP10 hand held radios
Jackets
Tool boxes
The GEM STATE SURVEYOR will advertise equipment stolen from any of our members free of charge and will pay a $50.00 reward to anyone giving information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves thereof.

Boise Calibration Baseline:
May 24, 2007

Two green gates have been installed through the barbed wire fence along the north side of Gowen Road. The two gates are not locked, but the Boise Airport asks that the gates be kept closed at all times. Survey vehicles are permitted beyond these 2 gates up to the newer chain link fence.


GPS Interference with radio frequencies.

  • There has been interference with the frequency 462.400 MHz.
  • Gem State Communications has identified a frequency currently being used by surveyors that is the same as that being used by ALL of the Fire Departments in the Canyon County area.
  • Gem State Communications will assist you in any way possible to determine what frequencies you have in your equipment if you don't know.
